Brazil was the next country we enthusiastically jumped into. We knew very well that this country offers much more than the traditional commodity coffee. We wanted our clients to experience the colourfulness of the Brazilian speciality coffee. At the World of Coffee 2018 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, we had the opportunity to taste incredible coffees right in the original, and then a few coincidences were enough to get our first microlots on the move. And after all, it was not a coincidence, but a visit to World of Coffee 2019 in Berlin that connected us with a key person. He is Bruno Andrade, a passionate promoter of Brazilian farmers. A few months later, he started his own company, Trust Coffees. And because we share a very similar ideology of working directly and sustainably with farmers, we set out on new projects together.
The falovor profiles of his coffee are unusual, unexpected and fun!
One of the projects is importing coffee from Rafael Vinhal. Raf is kind of our Brazilian flagship. He runs a family farm in the Minas Gerais area and has captured our attention with his progressive style of coffee processing. And you too right? The flavor profiles of his coffees are unusual, unexpected and fun. Just a smash! We enjoy showing that Brazil has its experimentators and that a cup of Brazilian coffee can taste like flowers or coconut milk. Thanks to Bruno, we are expanding our range of coffees to other family farms and exploring other coffee regions in Brazil. Like the beautiful Chapada Diamantina and Sitio Santana. And there will be more to follow!
